At the year's end Barrhead Elementary waves goodbye to a large number of staff who are entering 'the next phase of their lives'. A farewell dinner was organised and nearly 200 people came to celebrate the careers of a very fine bunch of people.'Marathon' MC Lamothe entertained the crowd for over four hours with his outstanding brand of wit and repartee. There was an open invitation for those wishing to pay homage to the retirees. It is difficult to do justice to the people and the evening. The night was a resounding success.
Barrhead is blessed with a very strong school which is full of exceptional people. I hope the town knows how lucky it has been and how lucky it is.
